Subject: THE STATE IMPLEMENTED TERMS ON SICK LEAVE AND 998

The people representing this Governor has done its bidding and forced the Governors draconian offer upon all Unit 6 Members. I have posted the “deceptive documents” that the Department Of Personnel Administration has authored for all to see. The State is forcing you to work under these conditions that neither you nor any of our co-workers agreed to.

The executive body of this local chapter would like to assure you that these changes will not affect the manner in which we serve our constituents and this Administration would be remiss if any attempt were made to maliciously apply any provisions of the States sick leave and 998 policies against the members of CCPOA.

You can be certain that there will be supervisors and managers who do not support the mission of CCPOA. I am sure there will be many case-by-case bases that each supervisor that you are calling in sick to, what criteria they are using in making you substantiate your sick leave usage. We encourage you to document this and to contact your local CCPOA Job Steward.

Assaults: California Pens Section on CCPOA’s Web Site

0 Comments | This entry was posted on May 21 2008

The new CCPOA Web site has a feature called “California Pens” which includes a calendar listing of assaults and incidents that have happened across the state. The only way an assault can be included is if someone speaks up and lets CCPOA know that it happened. If you have been assaulted - or have the full details about an assault that has happened at ISP - you should contact CCPOA and give them the facts for inclusion in future updates.

From the April 8th 5150 Hotline, courtesy of CCPOA.org:
For the latest in news happening around the state, make sure you check out California Pens on the newly redesigned CCPOA website, ccpoa.org. Cal Pens is the section where we list all of the assaults and incidents that are reported to us here at CCPOA. If you don’t see your incident or assault - chances are we did not hear about it - if you have information that you want included in Cal Pens - give us a call at CCPOA Headquarters and ask for Nichol Gomez. Nichol is working hard to make sure that our members can go to one place for all assault news.

ISP should be “heard” and included on the CCPOA Web site. View the most current updates to the California Pens section at: http://www.ccpoa.org/california_pens.shtml
